100 Days of Christmas... Paper & Ribbon Stars

This is a simple Christmas craft that is suitable to do with children.
You will need:
A template - I did stars, but you could do any shape, such as bells, or hearts,
Paper - I used patterned scrapbooking paper, but if making it with children, you could use paper that they have painted, to give a personal touch.
Card
Selection of Ribbons, washi tape, and other decorative touches such as sticky backed gems
PVA glue
Scissors

First, create a template and trace around onto your patterned paper. Cut out.
Glue your shape onto card. This helps to make it sturdy.
Lay out a selection of ribbons over your star. Make sure they overlap the edges of the shape. Any extra bits hanging over the side will be cut off at the end.
When you are happy with your arrangement, glue them down onto your star. I added stick on pearls onto one of my stars.
When your stars are dry, cut out. Use a needle and thread to pierce through the card and tie the thread to create a loop for hanging.
